S'mores Brownies

As a popular camping dessert, why not bring the s'mores to the kitchen? Sure, there are a heckuva lot of s'mores recipes, but I would say this one is by far the best. It has the sweetness of the chocolate, the crunch of the graham crackers, and even the gooey-ness of the marshmallows! And, knowing me, I looove me some marshmallows! An added bonus to this recipe is that is another of the easy 1-2-3's that are loved by the whole family!

Crush up your graham crackers to an almost dust-like consistency, which can be done by placing them in a plastic bag and using a rolling pin to crush them. Then, use a fork to mix in the butter until it is evenly distributed and the graham crackers are pea-sized.

Prepare your brownie dough as stated on the box, or recipe if you are using your own. Also, it needs to be baked according to the stated directions on the box or recipe. I used dark chocolate brownie mix with an added dash of vanilla, and it turned out amazing!

When the brownies are done baking, immediately pull out of the oven and spead both the graham crackers and the marshmallows on top. You can use either mini marshmallows or large ones, it all depends on preferences. I used small ones(as well as ate a whole lot of them too).

Turn your oven onto broil and place the brownies back in the oven. You have to sit and watch it, otherwise the marshmallows will burn. Also, they will expand due to the heat, so no worries there! Leave in the oven until the marshmallows are golden brown, then pull them out and let them sit for at least 30 minutes. They might not make it that far, but it'll be quite a mess if you try to cut earlier than that!

Recipe:

Ingredients-

1 pckg Brownie Batter, prepared
2-3 Graham Crackers, crushed
2 Tbsp Butter, melted
1+ cup Mini Marshmallows

Directions-

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare brownie batter as called for on the package. Spread evenly in a greased 8x8 pan, then cook 35-40 minutes.
2. In a small bowl, mix together graham cracker crumbs with the melted butter, using a fork, until a pea  sized consistency is created.
3. Immediately top brownies with the graham cracker crumbs, then the marshmallows, when they come out of he oven. Turn oven to BROIL, then place the brownies back in. Do not take your eyes off the brownies and pull them out when the marshmallows are golden brown and slightly melted. Enjoy!
